Red Cape To The BULL-headed

Just mention “red cape,” and one immediately conjures up a bull, pawing dirt over its back,ndlowering its massive head, and snorting in preparation to charge at the irresistible shade of blood.  And, while the response to this stimulus may be explained, no explanation is needed.  It just IS.  Just like the time-honored  chemical response by the cock to the day’s dawning.  Mix a bull with a red cape, and you best have quick access to an exit.

Yesterday, we saw what is tantamount to that red cape fanned before a snorting bull, or, at least, the bull-headed.  After vowing on numerous occasions that he was opposed to Gay Marriage, Barack Obama came out of his Oval Closet to declare having seen the light of enlightened evolution and took a well triangulated stance, now in favor of Gay Marriage.  And it is not this flip-flop that intrigues me.  I wonder what is it that Obama would not do to improve his standing and pandering, during this election year—the year that inevitably will either authenticate HIS failure or validate that the American voters have lost the sense needed to put their shoes on, toes-first.

So, just what did happened, yesterday?  No, I mean aside from Obama lying through that Cheshire smile of his?

I’ll tell you.  Obama out-flanked the Conservatives, AGAIN.  You see, the Obama Industrial Complex, which includes the mainstream media, has come to realize that sex, abortion, and gay marriage—and definitely not in that order—are to Conservatives what a red cape is to a bull.  No matter what Conservatives claim to be the most pressing of our current issues, just toss out a stance on this “third rail Troika,” and Conservatives begin pawing caution and moderation over their backs and lowering their bull-heads to charge, all for the sake of moral indignation and upholding the sanctity of moral tradition.  They seem blinded to what the Left claims and the Middle fears of those bearing the conservative cross—they are bull-headed in their sanctimony and sanctimoniously bull-headed.  And Obama deftly threw down the gauntlet of Gay Marriage, certain that he’d deflect the country from the real issues of this year’s Presidential Campaign—our survival as a sovereign, due to towering debt and the surrender of Americanism.  This global juggernaut needs a new direction, but the rudder is not Gay Marriage.   Yes, the economy remains a centerpiece of importance; however, as important as the economy may be, can our economy TRULY emerge, sustainably, if our debt continues to rise, crushingly?  Moreover, how long might we exist, if who we are ceases to be worthy of its mentioning?

If he does not blow it, Romney has this race won, for, in my mind, Obama is already Defeated President Walking.  Just take a look at any of the credible polls, whether you believe them or not, and you will see a tremendous slide by Obama in the only direction possible, given such a deliriously elevated popularity at the start of his Presidency.  Think about it.  Given such a dismal performance by Obama, who of those that opposed to him in 2008 have been persuaded to vote for him in 2012?   However, turn that question to look at those having voted for him in 2008, and you will find thousands, if not millions, who will do their best this year to redeem themselves from the dumbass column.  However, given the Republicans’ penchant for self-destruction, I remain cautiously optimistic about seeing Obama handing over the keys to the Oval Office.  And, if Conservatives continue letting Obama out-maneuver them with distractions and not “staying at home” and toeing the line on what should be our focus, it is time to wonder if there is a non-Liberal that truly is capable of filling the President’s shoes.  And, if there is such a specimen, will he nor she need the insoles of those shoes appropriately marked:  PTIF?  Put Toes In, First.
